Kona Country Club, is a Public, 36 hole golf course facility located in KEAUHOU, Hawaii. The facility has 2 courses, the Ali'i Mountain Course and the Ocean Course.
The Ocean Course (formerly known as the Kona Course) first opened for play in 1966/
These two courses are very different. The Ocean Course is a seaside course, and the Mountain Course was built on an inland hillside. There are lava areas on both courses, which are played as lateral hazards. Both courses have water hazards in play.
The Ocean Course has several holes overlooking the ocean. The tee on hole #13 is near a blow hole. The fairways on the courses are fairly wide and the greens large and fast.
Both the Ocean and the Mountain Course closed in 2013. The Ocean course is scheduled to reopen December 2015. There is no schedule for reopening the Mountain Course.

The price was reasonable and the course was a lot of fun to play with beautiful views. I would definitely return.

This course offered early twilight time play and a great re-play price.

A beautiful layout, ocean views, as welll as challenging par 3's. Don't expect resort type service (surly at best), as well as top of the line carts and amneties, ie: ice and towels. Just go and play golf, its well worth it. Yes, I play every time I am back.
